भीष्म उवाच अत्राप्युदाहरन्तीममितिहासं पुरातनम् | चिरकारेस्तु यत् पूर्व वृत्तमाड्निरसे कुले,भीष्मजीने कहा--बेटा! इस विषयमें जानकार लोग इस प्राचीन इतिहासका उदाहरण दिया करते हैं, जो पहले आंगिरस-कुलमें उत्पन्न चिरकारीपर बीत चुका है
bhīṣma uvāca | atrāpy udāharantīmam itihāsaṃ purātanam | cirakāres tu yat pūrvaṃ vṛttam āṅgirase kule ||
Bhishma sprach: „Auch hierzu führen die Gelehrten ein altes Beispiel an. Es betrifft das, was einst Cirakāri widerfuhr, der in der Linie des Aṅgiras geboren wurde.“
भीष्म उवाच
