Adhyāya 178 — The courses of prāṇa-vāyu and the regulation of the bodily fire

परित्यजामि काम व्वां हित्वा सर्वमनोगती: । न त्वं मया पुन: काम वत्स्यसे न च रंस्यसे

Transliteration

parityajāmi kāma tvāṃ hitvā sarva-manogatīḥ | na tvaṃ mayā punaḥ kāma vatsyase na ca raṃsyase ||

Translation

Bhīṣma sprach: „O Kāma (Begierde), indem ich jede Regung und Neigung meines Geistes abstreife, entsage ich dir. Nie wieder wirst du bei mir wohnen, noch wirst du in mir Freude finden.“
