Satya-lakṣaṇa (The Characteristics and Forms of Truth) | सत्यलक्षणम्
त्वं पुन: कारणैर्नूनं रक्ष्यसे शाल्मले यथा । वायुना सपरीवारस्तेन तिष्ठस्यसंशयम्
tvaṃ punaḥ kāraṇair nūnaṃ rakṣyase śālmale yathā | vāyunā saparīvāras tena tiṣṭhasy asaṃśayam ||
Nārada sprach: „Du aber wirst gewiss durch eben jene Ursachen geschützt, die dich jetzt umgeben, so wie der Śālmali-Baum vom Wind bewahrt wird. Mit deinen Dienern und deinem Gefolge wirst du darum standhaft bleiben — ohne Zweifel.“
नारद उवाच
The verse teaches steadiness and confidence: even forces that appear threatening can become protective supports when rightly understood, and one should remain firm, free from doubt, relying on the conditions and allies that uphold one’s position.
Nārada reassures the addressed person that they will be safeguarded by surrounding causes and by their accompanying retinue, using the image of a śālmali tree sustained and protected by the wind, and concludes that the person will remain secure without uncertainty.
