ईश्वरो मे भवानस्तु स्वशरीरगृहस्य च । अर्थानां चैव सर्वेषामनुशास्ता च मे भव
īśvaro me bhavān astu svaśarīragṛhasya ca | arthānāṃ caiva sarveṣām anuśāstā ca me bhava ||
Bhishma sprach: „Sei mein Herr — über meinen eigenen Leib und auch über mein Haus. Und über all meinen Besitz ohne Ausnahme: werde für mich sein Verwalter und Lenker, gemäß dem Dharma.“
