Educational Q&A

True authority is grounded in mastery of speech and discernment of ‘rasa’—the ability to extract the essential meaning and value from knowledge—so that leadership becomes a natural, stabilizing presence, like the moon among the stars.

Prahlāda presents a self-description of his excellence in verbal knowledge and his capacity to savor and distill meanings, using the cosmic image of the moon guiding the stars to express rightful preeminence and orderly governance over his own community.
