Śalya’s Consecration as Senāpati and Kṛṣṇa’s Counsel to Yudhiṣṭhira (शल्यस्य सेनापत्यभिषेकः)

कृत्वा सेनाप्रणेतारं परांस्त्वं योद्धुमहसि । येनाभिगुप्ता: संग्रामे जयेमासुहददो वयम्‌,“नरेश्वर! तुम किसीको सेनापति बनाकर शत्रुओंके साथ युद्ध करो, जिससे सुरक्षित होकर हमलोग विपक्षियोंपर विजय प्राप्त करें! इति श्रीमहा भारते शल्यपर्वणि शल्यदुर्योधनसंवादे षष्ठो5ध्याय:

kṛtvā senāpraṇetāraṃ parāṃs tvaṃ yoddhum arhasi | yena abhiguptāḥ saṅgrāme jayemāsuhṛdā vayam ||

Sañjaya sprach: „O König, setze einen Heerführer ein und ziehe dann gegen den Feind in die Schlacht. Unter solchem Schutz und solcher Führung im Kampf mögen wir den Sieg über unsere Gegner erringen.“

Educational Q&A
