Sārasvata–Dadhīca Upākhyāna at Sarasvatī Tīrtha

Balarāma’s Pilgrimage Context

Educational Q&A

The passage underscores that disciplined, dharma-aligned conduct and accumulated merit are portrayed as leading to higher posthumous states—symbolized by access to the realms of deities who embody cosmic and moral order (Mitra, Varuṇa, the Ādityas).

Vaiśampāyana narrates that the sage Asita has a vision/encounter in which he sees Jaigīṣavya as one who has attained exalted heavenly worlds, specifically the realms associated with Mitra, Varuṇa, and the Ādityas.
