Educational Q&A

The verse underscores a dharmic hierarchy of posthumous attainments: disciplined Vedic rites—especially focused sacrifice and the daily Agnihotra—are portrayed as generating merit that leads to progressively higher, auspicious realms.

The narrator describes a figure (implied from context) being seen ascending through successive heavenly worlds—first those of secluded/single-minded sacrificers, then the realms associated with Agnihotra practitioners—marking an upward journey through merit-based destinations.
