अन्तरिक्षचर: श्रीमान् कलशं गृहा[ देवल: । यही सोचते हुए श्रीमान् देवलमुनि कलश हाथमें लेकर आकाशमार्गसे समुद्रतटकी ओर चल दिये
antarikṣacaraḥ śrīmān kalaśaṃ gṛhā devalaḥ | iti cintayan śrīmān devalamuniḥ kalaśaṃ hastena gṛhītvā ākāśamārgeṇa samudrataṭaṃ prati jagāma |
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Der ruhmreiche Weise Devala, der durch den Himmel wanderte, nahm einen kalaśa, ein Wassergefäß, an sich. So bedacht, brach der ehrwürdige Muni Devala, das Gefäß in der Hand, auf dem Luftweg zum Meeresufer auf.
