शल्यस्य सेनापत्याभ्युपगमः | Śalya’s Acceptance of Command
इस प्रकार श्रीमद्याभारत शल्यपर्वमें कृपाचार्यका वचनविषयक चौथा अध्याय पूरा हुआ
gāhamānam anīkāni yudhyamānaṁ mahārathaiḥ | pāṇḍavair ati-tejobhir lokaḥ tvām anudarśitavān ||
Sanjaya sprach: „Die Menschen haben dich wiederholt gesehen, wie du in die feindlichen Schlachtordnungen eindringst und dort gegen die überaus strahlenden großen Wagenkämpfer der Pāṇḍavas kämpfst.“ Die Zeile betont: Tapferkeit im Krieg ist nicht bloß Behauptung, sondern vor vielen Augen erwiesen; und der ethische Ruf in einem Dharma-Krieg wird durch sichtbares Handeln inmitten der Gefahr geprägt.
संजय उवाच
In a dharma-framed war narrative, true valor and duty are established through observable action: the public repeatedly witnesses the warrior entering enemy formations and standing firm against formidable opponents, making reputation a matter of demonstrated conduct rather than mere assertion.
Sañjaya reports that the warrior addressed has been seen again and again charging into hostile battle-arrays and fighting the brilliant Pāṇḍava champions—an affirmation of intense frontline engagement against elite adversaries.
