उभौ तौ बद्धनिस्त्रिंशावुभी चाबद्धकड्कटौ । कृतवैरावुभौ वीरौ यमावपि यमोपमौ,“दोनों भाई नकुल और सहदेव तलवार बाँधे और कवच धारण किये हुए यमराजके समान भयंकर जान पड़ते हैं। वे दोनों वीर मुझसे वैर मानते हैं
ubhau tau baddha-nistriṁśāv ubhī cābaddha-kaṅkaṭau | kṛta-vairāv ubhau vīrau yamāv api yamopamau ||
Sañjaya sprach: „Jene beiden Brüder, Nakula und Sahadeva, mit gegürteten Schwertern und fest verschnallten Panzern, erschienen furchterregend—wie Yama selbst. Diese beiden Helden, in ihrer Feindschaft gefestigt, standen wie ein Paar Yamas mitten im Krieg, auf Vergeltung bedacht.“
