Educational Q&A

The verse underscores reverence for prescribed order (vidhi) and truthful transmission (tattvataḥ): sacred and royal acts gain legitimacy when performed and narrated according to established dharma and ritual norms.

Janamejaya, listening to the sage’s narration, acknowledges that he has heard a detailed and accurate account of a prince’s consecration ceremony, setting up further questions or continuation of the episode.
