Transliteration

mahābalā mahāvegā mahāpāriṣadās tathā | abhiṣekaṃ kumārasya dṛṣṭvā hṛṣṭā raṇapriyāḥ ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana sprach: Mächtig an Kraft, schnell im Ansturm und auch unter den versammelten Fürsten hoch angesehen, jubelten sie — kampflustig wie sie waren — beim Anblick der Weihe des Prinzen. Die Szene zeigt, wie königliche Legitimität und öffentliche Anerkennung den martialischen Eifer entfachen und die politische Ordnung an die Energien des Krieges binden können.
