वायुज्वालो वायुरेता वायुचक्रश्न वीर्यवान्‌ । एवमेते समुत्पन्ना मरुतां जनयिष्णव:,उस कलशमें सात ऋषि उत्पन्न हुए, जो मूलभूत मरुद्गण थे। उनके नाम इस प्रकार हैं --वायुवेग, वायुबल, वायुहा, वायुमण्डल, वायुज्वाल, वायुरेता और शक्तिशाली वायुचक्र। ये उनचास मरुदगणोंके जन्मदाता “मरुत' उत्पन्न हुए थे-

Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

vāyujvālo vāyuretā vāyucakraś ca vīryavān |

evam ete samutpannā marutāṃ janayiṣṇavaḥ ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana sprach: „Vāyujvāla, Vāyuretā und der mächtige Vāyucakra—so wurden diese geboren, die Stammväter, bestimmt, die Maruts hervorzubringen.“
