ऊचुश्चैनं महाभागं प्राप्ता भागार्थिनो वयम् | वहाँ पहुँचकर देवताओंने उस कूपको देखा, जिसमें त्रित मौजूद थे। साथ ही उन्होंने यज्ञमें दीक्षित हुए महात्मा त्रितमुनिका भी दर्शन किया। वे बड़े तेजस्वी दिखायी दे रहे थे। उन महाभाग मुनिका दर्शन करके देवताओंने उनसे कहा--“'हमलोग यज्ञमें अपना भाग लेनेके लिये आये हैं!
ūcuś cainaṃ mahābhāgaṃ prāptā bhāgārthino vayam |
Vaiśaṃpāyana sprach: „Sie wandten sich an jenen überaus begnadeten Weisen und sagten: ‚Wir sind gekommen, um unseren rechtmäßigen Anteil (am Opfer) zu empfangen.‘“ Im Zusammenhang der Erzählung treffen die Götter am Ort des yajña ein, erblicken Trita—strahlend und für den Ritus geweiht—und fordern, die Opferordnung wahrend, den ihnen zustehenden Anteil, denn Gaben sind nach Dharma und ritueller Berechtigung zu verteilen.
