गदायुद्धप्रतिज्ञा — The Vow and Terms of the Mace Duel
युधिछिर उवाच आर्तप्रलापान्मा तात सलिलस्थ: प्रभाषिथा: । नैतन्मनसि मे राजन् वाशितं शकुनेरिव,युधिष्ठिर बोले--नरेश्वर! तुम जलमें स्थित होकर आर्त पुरुषोंके समान प्रलाप न करो। तात! चिड़ियोंके चहचहानेके समान तुम्हारी यह बात मेरे मनमें कोई अर्थ नहीं रखती है
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | ārta-pralāpān mā tāta salila-sthaḥ prabhāṣiṭhāḥ | na etan manasi me rājan vāśitaṃ śakuner iva ||
Yudhiṣṭhira sprach: «Rede nicht, Lieber, aus dem Wasser heraus mit dem wirren Klagegeschrei der Bedrängten. O König, diese Worte finden in meinem Geist keinen Sinn—gleich dem Zwitschern der Vögel.»
