Vidura emphasizes prudent, dharmic conduct: accomplish one’s mission safely, and guard against the resurfacing or public knowledge of past wrongdoing—since reputation and trust are fragile and moral lapses can undermine one’s standing and purpose.
Vidura addresses the person being sent away (contextually, a departing figure in the Sabha Parva narrative), expressing hope for a safe and successful return and offering cautionary counsel to ensure that no earlier misdeed becomes known or causes trouble upon return.
