Adhyāya 45 — Duryodhana’s Distress, Śakuni’s Counsel, and the Summons for Dyūta

पितृष्वसु: कृते दुःखं सुमहन्मर्षयाम्यहम्‌ । दिष्ट्या हीदं सर्वराज्ञां संनिधावद्य वर्तते,“मैं अपनी बुआके संतोषके लिये ही इसके बड़े दुःखद अपराधोंको सहन कर रहा हूँ; सौभाग्यकी बात है कि आज यह समस्त राजाओंके समीप मौजूद है

pitṛṣvasuḥ kṛte duḥkhaṃ sumahan marṣayāmy aham | diṣṭyā hīdaṃ sarvarājñāṃ saṃnidhāv adya vartate ||

Vaiśampāyana sprach: „Um meiner väterlichen Tante willen ertrage ich diesen übergroßen Schmerz und diese schwere Kränkung. Wahrlich, es ist ein Glück, dass diese Sache heute vor allen Königen zutage liegt.“
