Sabhā-praveśa, Dāna, and the Courtly Convergence
The verse emphasizes recognized excellence and authority among kṣatriyas—those “accepted as foremost.” Ethically, it hints that prestige and martial capability carry responsibility: when many eminent warriors gather, their choices can uphold order (dharma) or intensify conflict if guided by pride or factionalism.
Vaiśampāyana is listing notable kṣatriyas present in the setting, naming Ketumān and Vasumān and indicating that many other leading, battle-trained nobles are also there, portraying the assembly as crowded with influential and formidable figures.
