वैशम्पायन उवाच
By listing eminent sages in the assembly, the text highlights that major political and personal actions occur under the gaze of dharma-guardians; this frames the coming events as morally consequential and judged against established ethical and ritual standards.
The narrator Vaiśampāyana continues an enumeration of respected seers present in the royal court/assembly, establishing the setting’s solemnity and the presence of authoritative witnesses.
