भूयश्वाद्भुतवीर्यौजा धर्ममेवानुचिन्तयन् | कि हित॑ सर्वलोकानां भवेदिति मनो दधे,हम और पराक्रमवाले धर्मराजने पुनः अपने धर्मका ही चिन्तन किया और सम्पूर्ण लोकोंका हित कैसे हो, इसी ओर वे ध्यान देने लगे
bhūyaś cādbhuta-vīryaujā dharmam evānucintayan | kiṁ hitaṁ sarva-lokānāṁ bhaved iti mano dadhe ||
Dann wiederum richtete jener König von wunderbarer Tapferkeit und Kraft, der nur über Dharma nachsann, seinen Sinn auf dies: „Welcher Weg würde das Wohl aller Welten bewirken?“
वैशम्पायन उवाच
True strength in a ruler is shown not merely by power but by sustained reflection on dharma and by aiming at the welfare (hita) of all beings; ethical governance is framed as universal, not self-serving.
Vaiśampāyana describes Dharmarāja (Yudhiṣṭhira) returning to contemplation: despite his great prowess, he fixes his mind on dharma and considers what action would benefit all people (indeed, all worlds).
