अथोपयातत्त्वरितो दिदृक्षु- मन्त्रौषधीभिर्निरुजो विशल्य:

athopayāt tvarito didṛkṣu-

mantrauṣadhībhir nirujo viśalyaḥ

Sañjaya sprach: Dann eilte er voran, begierig, ihn zu sehen—nun schmerzfrei, der Pfeil herausgezogen, durch Mantras und heilende Kräuter wiederhergestellt. Die Zeile zeigt, wie selbst inmitten der Brutalität des Krieges Fürsorge, Wissen und rechtzeitige Hilfe einen verwundeten Krieger für einen Augenblick dem Leiden entreißen können.
