Transliteration

antardhāya mahāśabdān karṇenāmitatejasā

Translation

Sañjaya sprach: Da ließ Karṇa von unermesslichem Glanz das große Geschrei und die donnergleichen Dröhngeräusche verstummen und vergehen — seine überwältigende Gegenwart und Tat erstickten den Tumult der Schlacht.
