Transliteration

āścaryaṃ sindhurājasya vadhaṃ jānanti pārthivāḥ

Translation

Sañjaya sprach: Die Könige erfuhren von der erstaunlichen Erschlagung des Herrschers von Sindhu—ein Ereignis, das sich über das Schlachtfeld verbreitete als Zeichen dafür, wie rasch Schicksal und Tapferkeit selbst königliche Macht im Krieg umstürzen können.
