ते नित्यमुदिता जेतुं मृधे शत्रूनरिंदम । न जात्वाधिरयथेर्भीता: पञ्चाला: स्यु: पराड्मुखा:
te nityam uditā jetuṁ mṛdhe śatrūn ariṁdama | na jātva ādhirathyer bhītāḥ pāñcālāḥ syuḥ parāṅmukhāḥ ||
Sañjaya sprach: «O Bezwinger der Feinde, die Pāñcālas sind stets erregt und bereit, ihre Gegner in der Schlacht zu besiegen. Niemals werden die Pāñcālas aus Furcht vor Ādhirathya (Karṇa) dem Kampf den Rücken kehren.»
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights steadfast courage and martial resolve: true allies and warriors do not abandon their duty out of fear of a formidable opponent; they remain committed to the cause and to those they support.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra, addressing Arjuna as ‘tamer of foes,’ that the Pāñcāla forces remain constantly eager to win in battle and will not retreat even when facing Karna.
