Karṇa-vadha-pratyaya: Yudhiṣṭhira’s Verification of Karṇa’s Fall (कर्णवध-प्रत्ययः)
संजय उवाच तदास्थितमवज्ञाय प्रत्यमित्रबलं महत् । अव्यूहतार्जुनो व्यूहं पुत्रस्य तव दुर्नये,संजयने कहा--महाराज! आपके पुत्रकी दु्नीतिके कारण शत्रुओंकी उस विशाल सेनाको युद्धमें उपस्थित जानकर अर्जुनने अपनी सेनाका भी व्यूह बनाया
sañjaya uvāca | tadā sthitam avajñāya pratyamitrabalaṁ mahat | avyūhatārjuno vyūhaṁ putrasya tava durnaye ||
Sañjaya sprach: Da erkannte Arjuna das feindliche Heer, in großer Stärke aufgestellt—ohne es geringzuschätzen—und ordnete auch seine eigenen Truppen zur Schlachtordnung, als Antwort auf die verfehlte Politik deines Sohnes.
