Moral worth is not determined by birthplace or regional association; individuals are responsible for their conduct, and noble character can arise anywhere—so much so that such virtue may surpass even divine standards.
In the Karṇa Parva dialogue, Śalya addresses Karṇa and counters a tendency to generalize about people based on their land, emphasizing that the same region can produce both wrongdoers and exceptionally virtuous persons.
