कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line

अभीषून्‌ हि प्रतोदं च संजग्राह पितामह: । अपने तेजसे प्रकाशित होते हुए भगवान्‌ ब्रह्माने रथारूढ़ होकर घोड़ोंकी बागडोर और चाबुक दोनों वस्तुएँ अपने हाथमें ले लीं ।। ७८ इ ।। तत उत्थाप्य भगवांस्तान्‌ हयाननिलोपमान्‌

abhīṣūn hi pratodaṃ ca saṃjagrāha pitāmahaḥ | apane tejase prakāśita hote hue bhagavān brahmāne rathārūḍha hokara ghoṛoṃ kī bāgaḍora aura cābuka donoṃ vastueṃ apane hātha meṃ le līṃ || 78 || tata utthāpya bhagavāṃs tān hayān anilopamān

Darauf nahm der Ahnvater die Zügel und die Peitsche. In eigenem Glanz erstrahlend, bestieg der selige Brahmā den Wagen und ergriff selbst sowohl die Zügel der Rosse als auch den Treibstachel. Dann trieb der Herr jene Pferde an, windgleich an Schnelligkeit. Die Stelle zeichnet ein sittliches Bild verantwortlicher Führung: In der Krise gebieten die wahrhaft Ehrwürdigen nicht bloß aus der Ferne, sondern übernehmen selbst die Kontrolle und lenken mächtige Kräfte mit Zucht statt mit Zügellosigkeit.
