कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line

ततःप्रभृति भद्रं ते गवां द्वैधीकृता: खुरा: । हयानां च सतना राजंस्तदाप्रभूति नाभवन्‌

tataḥprabhṛti bhadraṃ te gavāṃ dvaidhīkṛtāḥ khurāḥ | hayānāṃ ca satanā rājan tadāprabhūti nābhavan |

Von jener Zeit an—möge es dir wohl ergehen—wurden die Hufe des Rindviehs gespalten; und, o König, seitdem hatten die Pferde keine festen, ungeteilten Hufe mehr. Damit wird eine dauerhafte Veränderung der natürlichen Ordnung bezeichnet, als könnten Taten und kosmische Zustände bleibende Spuren in der Welt hinterlassen.
