Transliteration

tato duryodhano rājā śaktiṃ cikṣepa bhārata

Translation

Sañjaya sprach: Dann schleuderte König Duryodhana die Śakti-Waffe, o Nachkomme Bharatas—eine Tat, die die moralische Spannung der Schlacht verschärft, denn königliche Macht zeigt sich hier als tödliche Gewalt statt als Selbstbeherrschung oder Versöhnung.
