कर्णस्य दानप्रतिज्ञा–शल्योपदेश–वाक्ययुद्धम्

अभ्यवर्तन्त सहसा परीप्सन्तो नराधिपम् । उसे संकटमें पड़ा देख कर्ण, अश्वत्थामा तथा कृपाचार्य आदि वीर अपने राजाकी रक्षा चाहते हुए सहसा युधिष्ठिरके सामने आ पहुँचे
abhyavartanta sahasā parīpsanto narādhipam |
Sañjaya sprach: „Als sie den König in Gefahr sahen, stürmten Karṇa, Aśvatthāmā, Kṛpācārya und andere Helden—begierig, ihren Herrscher zu schützen—sofort heran, um Yudhiṣṭhira entgegenzutreten.
