नीतिमन्तस्तथा युक्ता दक्षा रक्ताश्न ते हता: । न त्वेव कार्य नैराश्यमस्माभिवविजयं प्रति,“हमारे पक्षमें जो देवताओंके समान पराक्रमी, विश्व-विख्यात महारथी वीर, नीतिमान्‌, साधनसम्पन्न, दक्ष और स्वामीके प्रति अनुरक्त थे, वे सब-के-सब मारे गये, तथापि हमें अपनी विजयके प्रति निराश नहीं होना चाहिये

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca |

nītimantastathā yuktā dakṣā raktāś ca te hatāḥ |

na tveva kārya nairāśyam asmābhir vijayaṃ prati ||

Translation

Sañjaya sprach: Jene Männer von dir—rechtschaffen in der Staatskunst, wohlgerüstet und diszipliniert, tüchtig im Handeln und treu in ihrer Hingabe—sind wahrlich gefallen. Doch dennoch dürfen wir nicht an der Sieghoffnung verzagen.
