Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 94: Sātyaki–Sudarśana Yuddha (सात्यकि–सुदर्शन युद्ध)
The verse foregrounds how lineage and status (a king, born of a deity) do not remove one from the ethical weight of warfare; it frames valor within the larger dharmic tension of the battlefield narrative.
Sañjaya identifies and introduces the warrior-king Śrutāyudha, describing him as the heroic son of Varuṇa, as part of the ongoing cataloging of combatants and their roles in the battle.
