समेघसमनिर्घोषो महान् शब्दो5स्पृशद् दिवम् । पार्थिवप्रवरं सुप्तं युधिष्ठिरमबोधयत्
sameghasamanirghoṣo mahān śabdo 'spṛśad divam | pārthivapravaraṃ suptaṃ yudhiṣṭhiram abodhayat ||
Sañjaya sprach: Ein gewaltiger Laut, tief wie das Grollen wolkenschwerer Himmel, stieg empor und schien den Himmel selbst zu berühren. Dieses dröhnende Getöse weckte Yudhiṣṭhira, den vornehmsten der Könige, der geschlafen hatte.
