अभिमन्योर् दारुणः संमर्दः
Abhimanyu’s fierce melee amid chariot formations
तमूहुवाजिनो वश्या: सैन्धवा: साधुवाहिन: । विकुर्वाणा बृहन्तो5श्वा: श्वसनोपमरंहस:
sañjaya uvāca | tam ūhuḥ ājino vaśyāḥ saindhavāḥ sādhuvāhinaḥ | vikurvāṇā bṛhanto 'śvāḥ śvasanopamarāṃhasaḥ |
Sañjaya sprach: „Jene großen, in Sindhu gezüchteten Pferde—wohl abgerichtet, den Zügeln gehorsam und vorzüglich im Befolgen des Befehls des Wagenlenkers—trugen ihn dahin. Mit wechselnden Gangarten und windgleicher Schnelligkeit brachten sie Jayadratha in das Gedränge des Krieges und zeigten, wie gezügelte Kraft, an den Willen eines Kriegers gespannt, zum entscheidenden Werkzeug wird.“
