अभिमन्युना दुःशासनस्य ताडनम्
Abhimanyu’s Rebuke and Wounding of Duḥśāsana; Karṇa’s Counter-volley
गवल्गणनन्दन! जैसे कुमार कार्तिकेयने असुरोंके साथ रणक्रीड़ा की थी, उसी प्रकार कुमार अभिमन्युने जो युद्धका खेल किया था, वह सब मुझसे विस्तारपूर्वक कहो ।।
Sañjaya uvāca: hanta te sampravakṣyāmi vimardam atidāruṇam | ekasya ca bahūnāṃ ca yathāsīt tumulo raṇaḥ ||
Sañjaya sprach: „Weh! Nun will ich dir jenes überaus schreckliche Blutbad schildern—wie ein tobender, lärmender Kampf entstand: ein einziger Held gegen viele.“
