Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 25 — Bhīma’s Disruption of Elephant Formations and Bhagadatta’s Shock Advance
त॑ं बाणैरवतस्तार क्रुद्धो मृत्युरिवाहवे । तं च भीमो5तुदद् बाणैस्तदा55सीत् तुमुलं महत्,उसने क्रोधमें भरी हुई मृत्युके समान युद्धस्थलमें बाणोंद्वारा भीमसेनको ढक दिया। साथ ही भीमसेनने भी अपने बाणोंद्वारा उसे गहरी चोट पहुँचायी। इस प्रकार उन दोनोंमें महाभयंकर युद्ध होने लगा
taṁ bāṇair avatastāra kruddho mṛtyur ivāhave | taṁ ca bhīmo 'tudad bāṇais tadā 'sīt tumulaṁ mahat ||
Sañjaya sprach: Vor Zorn, wie der Tod selbst auf dem Schlachtfeld, bedeckte er Bhīmasena mit einem Pfeilhagel. Bhīma wiederum traf ihn hart mit seinen eigenen Geschossen. So erhob sich zwischen beiden ein gewaltiger und furchterregender Kampf.
