एवमेते वरा लब्धा: पुरस्ताद् विद्धि शौरिणा । स एष देवश्लवरति मायया मोहयञ्जगत्,तुझे मालूम होना चाहिये, इस प्रकार श्रीकृष्णने पहले ही भगवान् शंकरसे ये अनेक वरदान पा लिये हैं। वे ही भगवान् नारायण श्रीकृष्णके रूपमें अपनी मायासे इस संसारको मोहित करते हुए विचर रहे हैं
evam ete varā labdhāḥ purastād viddhi śauriṇā | sa eṣa devaślāvarati māyayā mohayaj jagat |
Vyāsa sprach: „Wisse, dass diese Gaben einst schon von Śauri (Kṛṣṇa) erlangt wurden. Eben jener göttliche Nārāyaṇa, der in der Gestalt Kṛṣṇas erscheint, wandelt durch die Welt und betört die Wesen durch seine eigene Māyā.“
