Shloka 3

मुनिर्यथारण्यगतो भाषसे धर्मसंहितम्‌ । न्यस्तदण्डो यथा पार्थ ब्राह्मण: संशितव्रत:,'पार्थ! वनवासी मुनि अथवा किसी भी प्राणीको दण्ड न देते हुए कठोर व्रतका पालन करनेवाला ब्राह्मण जिस प्रकार धर्मका उपदेश करता है, उसी प्रकार तुम भी धर्मसम्मत बातें कह रहे हो

munir yathāraṇyagato bhāṣase dharmasaṃhitam | nyastadaṇḍo yathā pārtha brāhmaṇaḥ saṃśitavrataḥ ||

Sañjaya sprach: „O Pārtha, die Worte, die du sprichst, stehen im Einklang mit dem Dharma—wie der Rat eines Weisen, der in den Wald gegangen ist, oder wie die Unterweisung eines strenggelobten Brahmanen, der den Stock beiseitegelegt hat und kein Wesen bestraft. Ebenso ist auch deine Rede ethisch gegründet.“
