तन्न जातु क्षमेद् द्रौणिजानन् पौरुषमात्मन: । पांचालराजकुमारने जो मेरे गुरुदेवका केश पकड़कर खींचा था, उसे अपने पुरुषार्थको जाननेवाला अभश्वत्थामा कभी क्षमा नहीं कर सकता
tanna jātu kṣamed drauṇijānann pauruṣam ātmanaḥ |
Arjuna sprach: „Aśvatthāmā, der Sohn Droṇas, der um seine eigene Manneskraft weiß, wird jene Tat niemals verzeihen—als der Prinz von Pāñcāla meinen ehrwürdigen Lehrer am Haar packte und ihn fortschleifte.“
