इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत द्रोणपर्वके अन्तर्गत नारायणास्त्रगोक्षपर्वमें अश्वत्थामाका क्रोधविषयक एक सौ पंचानबेवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ

Transliteration

isa prakāra śrīmahābhārata droṇaparvake antargata nārāyaṇāstragokṣaparvameṃ aśvatthāmākā krodhaviṣayaka ekaśata pañcānabevāṃ adhyāya pūrā huā

Translation

Sanjaya sprach: „So endet das hundertfünfundneunzigste Kapitel, das von Aśvatthāmas Zorn handelt, innerhalb der Episode vom Nārāyaṇa-Astra und dem Schutz der Kühe, im Droṇa-Parva des heiligen Mahābhārata. Diese Schlussnotiz in Kolophonform markiert einen Übergang in der Kriegserzählung und zeigt, wie Zorn und die Eskalation göttlicher Waffen die ethische Spannung der Schlacht verschärfen und weitere Folgen vorausahnen lassen.“
