यदि इस अवसरके आनेपर भी तुम अपने पक्षका कल्याण-साधन नहीं करोगे तो तुमसे जिस शौर्य और पराक्रमकी सम्भावना की जाती है, उसके विपरीत तुम्हें पराक्रमशून्य समझा जायगा और उस दशामें मानो तुम हमलोगोंपर अत्यन्त क्रूरतापूर्ण बर्ताव करनेवाले सिद्ध होओगे ।। सत्यश्रीधर्मयशसां वीर्येणानृण्यमाप्रुहि । भिन्ध्यनीकं युधां श्रेष्ठ अपसव्यमिमान् कुरु
satyāśrīdharmayaśasāṃ vīryeṇānṛṇyam āpruhi | bhindhy anīkaṃ yudhāṃ śreṣṭha apasavyam imān kuru ||
Wenn selbst bei Eintreffen dieser Gelegenheit du nicht das Heil deines eigenen Lagers bewirkst, wird man dich für das Gegenteil dessen halten, was man an Mut und Kraft von dir erwartet: man wird dich für ohne Heldentat erklären; und in solcher Lage, als hättest du uns gegenüber äußerste Grausamkeit bewiesen. „Mit deiner Tapferkeit tilge deine Schuld gegenüber Wahrheit, Glück und Wohlstand, Dharma und Ruhm. O Bester unter den Kämpfern, sprenge die Schlachtordnung des Feindes und stürze diese Männer in Unordnung und Rückzug.“
