त्वं हि द्रोणविनाशाय समुत्पन्नो हुताशनात् । सशर: कवची खड््गी धन्वी च परतापन:,“तुम तो शत्रुओंको संताप देनेवाले हो और द्रोणका विनाश करनेके लिये ही बाण, कवच, खड्ग और धनुषसहित अग्निकुण्डसे उत्पन्न हुए हो
tvaṁ hi droṇavināśāya samutpanno hutāśanāt | saśaraḥ kavacī khaḍgī dhanvī ca paratāpanaḥ ||
Sañjaya sprach: „Wahrlich, du bist aus dem Opferfeuer hervorgegangen, einzig zur Vernichtung Droṇas. Mit Pfeilen bewaffnet, in Rüstung gehüllt, Schwert und Bogen tragend, bist du der Versenger der Feinde; Geburt und Waffen sind dir vom Schicksal für diese düstere Aufgabe im Krieg bestimmt.“
संजय उवाच

Ethically, it highlights the Mahābhārata’s tension between dharma and the harsh necessities of war, where even revered figures may be destined to be brought down.
Sañjaya describes a key combatant (implicitly the fire-born warrior associated with Droṇa’s downfall) as having arisen from the sacrificial fire specifically to destroy Droṇa, emphasizing his readiness—arrows, armor, sword, and bow—and his capacity to afflict enemies in the ongoing Kurukṣetra war.
