तत्‌ सम्पूज्य वचो5क्रूरं सर्वसैन्यानि भारत | मुहूर्तमस्वपन्‌ राजउश्रान्तानि भरतर्षभ,भरतवंशी नरेश! भरतकुलभूषण! अर्जुनके उस क्रूरताशून्य वचनका आदर करके थकी हुई सारी सेनाएँ दो घड़ीतक सोती रहीं

Transliteration

tat sampūjya vaco ’krūraṁ sarvasainyāni bhārata | muhūrtam asvapan rājan uśrāntāni bharatarṣabha ||

Translation

Sañjaya sprach: „O Bhārata! Nachdem jenes sanfte, nicht grausame Wort gebührend geehrt worden war, schliefen alle Heere—vom Druck des Kampfes erschöpft—für eine kurze Weile ein, o König, o Stier unter den Bhāratas.“
