शासनाद्‌ राक्षसेन्द्रस्य निजघ्नू रथकुञ्जरान्‌ | उस रातमें भयंकर रूपधारी सम्पूर्ण राक्षसोंने भी राक्षसराज अलायुधकी आज्ञासे कितने ही रथों और हाथियोंको नष्ट कर दिया

śāsanād rākṣasendrasya nijaghnur rathakuñjarān |

Sañjaya sprach: Auf Befehl des Herrn der Rākṣasas streckten die furchterregenden Rākṣasas viele Streitwagen und Elefanten nieder und vernichteten sie.
