Educational Q&A

In a crisis, especially in war, one’s duty includes protecting allies and kin when they become exposed—here, the ethical emphasis is on loyalty, swift assistance, and collective responsibility rather than abandoning a vulnerable comrade.

Sañjaya reports that a warrior has been made chariotless on the battlefield; seeing this, his brothers—renowned fighters—charge in quickly with a large contingent to aid him and stabilize the situation.
