ततो ज्वलनमानर्च्य हुत्वा सर्वे पृथक् पृथक् । जगृहु: कुशचीराणि चित्राणि कवचानि च,उन सबने पृथक्-पृथक् अग्निदेवकी पूजा करके हवन किया तथा कुशके चीर और विचित्र कवच धारण कर लिये
tato jvalanamānārcya hutvā sarve pṛthak pṛthak | jagṛhuḥ kuśacīrāṇi citrāṇi kavacāni ca ||
Sañjaya sprach: Daraufhin verehrte ein jeder für sich den lodernden Feuergott und brachte Opfergaben dar. Nach vollzogenem Ritus nahmen sie Gewänder aus Kuśa-Gras und legten bunt schimmernde Rüstungen an.
