Chapter 161
एष पार्थवधायाहं स्वयं गच्छामि संयुगे | अहं पार्थान हनिष्यामि सपञठ्चालान ससोमकान,क्षत्रियशिरोमणि शूरवीरो! ठहरो, तुम्हारे भागनेकी कोई आवश्यकता नहीं है। मैं स्वयं अभी अर्जुनका वध करनेके लिये युद्धभूमिमें चलता हूँ। मैं पांचालों और सोमकोंसहित कुन्तीकुमारोंका वध करूँगा

eṣa pārthavadhāyāhaṁ svayaṁ gacchāmi saṁyuge |
ahaṁ pārthān haniṣyāmi sapañcālān sasomakān ||
Sañjaya sprach: „Um Arjuna zu töten, gehe ich selbst in die Schlacht. Ich werde die Söhne der Pṛthā erschlagen, samt den Pāñcālas und den Somakas.“
