अजिशीर्षे प्रातःसंध्यायां संग्रामवर्णनम् / Dawn-Transition Battle at Ajiśīrṣa

Chapter 161

संजय उवाच तमुद्यतं तु वेगेन राजा दुर्योधन: स्वयम्‌ । न्यवारयन्महातेजा: कृपश्च द्विपदां वर:,संजय कहते हैं--राजन्‌! इस प्रकार वेगपूर्वक उठे हुए अश्वत्थामाको महातेजस्वी स्वयं राजा दुर्योधन तथा मनुष्योंमें श्रेष्ठ कृपाचार्यने रोका

sañjaya uvāca tam udyataṃ tu vegena rājā duryodhanaḥ svayam | nyavārayat mahātejāḥ kṛpaś ca dvipadāṃ varaḥ ||

Sañjaya sprach: O König, als Aśvatthāmā in einem Schub von Geschwindigkeit und Zorn aufsprang, hielten ihn der strahlkräftige König Duryodhana selbst und auch der mächtige Kṛpa, der Beste unter den Menschen, zurück.
