दुर्योधन–द्रोणसंवादः

Arjuna-vīrya-prasaṃśā and renewed battle formation

धृतिमांश्व कृतज्ञश्न धर्मपुत्रो युधिष्ठिर: । धर्मपुत्र युधिष्ठिर ब्राह्मणभक्त, सत्यवादी, जितेन्द्रिय, गुरु और देवताओंका सम्मान करनेवाले, सदा धर्मपरायण, अस्त्रविद्यामें विशेष कुशल, धैर्यवान्‌ और कृतज्ञ हैं

dhṛtimāṁś ca kṛtajñaś ca dharmaputro yudhiṣṭhiraḥ | dharmaputro yudhiṣṭhiraḥ brāhmaṇabhaktaḥ satyavādī jitendriyaḥ guru-devatā-sammānakārī sadā dharmaparāyaṇaḥ astravidyāyāṁ viśeṣa-kuśalaḥ dhairyavān ca kṛtajñaḥ |

Kṛpa sprach: „Yudhiṣṭhira, der Sohn des Dharma, ist standhaft und dankbar. Er ist den Brāhmaṇas ergeben, spricht die Wahrheit, beherrscht sich selbst und ehrt seine Lehrer und die Götter. Stets dem Dharma verpflichtet, ist er besonders kundig in der Wissenschaft der Waffen; er besitzt Geduld und Mut und zeichnet sich durch Dankbarkeit aus.“
